Cisco Guevara
Founder and President of Los Rios River Runners, Cisco has been running the Rio Grande for over 40 years. Born and raised in Los Alamos, where his father was a thermonuclear engineer, he is also a noted storyteller, performing annually at the Taos Storytelling Festival and at other events nationwide (for more info, visit ciscoguevara.com). He holds first descents of various rivers in the Copper Canyon area of Mexico and the lower Rio Costilla. He is on the board of the environmental organization Amigos Bravos, and is executive director of the New Mexico River Outfitter Association.
John Harvey
John grew up in New Mexico, and has a degree in Environmental Science. He has been a river guide with Los Rios since 1992, and in the winter he works on Ski Patrol at Taos Ski Valley. He has traveled around the world, and spent five years paddling outrigger canoes in Hawaii.


Eric Mordhorst
Eric, more commonly known as Mordi, has been with Los Rios for 10 years. An avid outdoorsmen he has run many rivers in his career and continues to add to the list. He is a videographer and photographer as well as an English professor during the school year.
James Collins
James joined the Los Rios Crew as a Rookie in 2015. Originally from West Virginia he made the trek to Taos just for kicks and never left. In the off season he is a snowmaker. He loves being outside and listening to the birds on his property down by the river.


George Chupek
George joined the Los Rios team in 2019 and has become one of our overnight specialists. As an outdoor adventurer he loves to hike with his dog and sit by the river and play the guitar. Before Los Rios he was a traveling musician based out of Cleveland.
Elyssa Clement
Elyssa joins the Los Rios team this year from Colorado. She was a guide on Clear Creek and the Upper Colorado for 4 years with AVA. In the winter she teaches snowboarding and is working on writing a collection of poetry. She love to spend her spare time traveling and hiking with her cat, Rue.


Eric Baryza
With 20 plus years working on the rivers throughout New England, and 10 years with Los Rios you can say that Eric loves being on the water. He is a full time tower climber who comes home and loves spending his spare time rafting, mountain biking and being outside. With family being a priority he has an amazing kid who is a future raft guide, and his family is living in a tiny house on wheels, Yes like the show.
Hannah Ryan
Hannah was born and raised in Idaho and Canada and eventually rambled her way to the southwest in 2010 on a hitch hiking adventure. She has called the Colorado Plateau and its mountains, deserts, canyons and rivers her home ever since. She learned to row a boat on the San Juan river in southern Utah while working with a non profit youth conservation corps. The San Juan and Colorado river sparked a deep passion for rafting in her and once she arrived to Taos in 2014, she pursued a job as river guide with Los Rios. Hannah also enjoys traveling, gardening, making music, spending time in nature and adventure boating.


John Kaeck
John has been with the Los Rios family since 2014, he is an avid outdoorsmen who loves to ski and boat with his family. He is a college professor in his spare time as well as a builder.
Kim Pippinger
Kim was raised in Idaho and Wyoming and after high school, attended the University of New Mexico School of Architecture in Albuquerque. She moved to Taos in 1991 and began working for Los Rios in 1995. Kim loves to travel and has spent several winters living, rafting and sailing abroad. She and her partner, Kevin, own a sailboat in the Florida Keys. Kim also enjoys exploring, landscaping, photography, the beach and hanging out with her dogs. Micah Davidson
Micah Davidson joined the crew in 2015 and he is the best bus driver in the business. Micah arrived for his job interview in his own personal bus, with his wife, 5 kids and 1 on the way. He serves Los Rios with his mechanical and back country knowledge and has received training as a river runner. In the off season he coaches competitive Mixed Martial Arts and submission wrestling as well as homeschooling all of his kids. His mission is to show Love and respect to his co-workers and guests.
Suzie Benton
Suzie is originally from Colorado Springs, and has been boating professionally with Los Rios since 2006. She holds an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, and teaches the Watershed Education program for the nonprofit organization Rivers & Birds in Taos County public schools. She also enjoys wild-crafting and is a dedicated "birdnerd." Agua es Vida!


Bruce Graff
With more than 30 years of commercial rafting, Bruce is one of our most senior guides here at Los Rios. Bruce and his wife Dawn are avid travelers and love to adventure to far away places. His love for the river is evident in every trip he takes. RETIRED
