We've got a GIGANTIC snowpack! This looks like it's going to be the best season in three decades - maybe even the biggest water in Rio Grande rafting history!

Peak water usually comes from mid-May to early June. It's up to the weather. We're hoping the high water levels will last well into the summer.

We've got an unusually high number of early bookings this season, so don't leave it too late to get on the trip you want. The legendary, world-class Taos Box - the more moderate Lower Gorge - the mellow Orilla Verde - the quick hit of whitewater on the Racecourse ... Or a mellow, beautiful, relaxing overnight trip in the wilderness sandstone canyon of the Rio Chama, among lush meadows and old-growth ponderosa pines.

It's not too early to book your trip for later in the summer as well. Some dates are already sold out with big groups, so please let us know as soon as possible if you're thinking of coming rafting with New Mexico's oldest, most experienced rafting company - now in its 30th year!

It is our policy on overnight trips to include everything you need in the price. NO HIDDEN EXTRAS! Some companies will charge you extra for sleeping "kits" and for raingear. We provide tent, comfortable sleeping pad, freshly laundered sleeping bag, and raingear - at no extra charge.

These are some of the emails and letters we received last summer:

"I just wanted to thank everyone at Los Rios for the most fantastic trip!! Our 2-day Wild Rio Grande rafting trip exceeded all expectations! The scenery and views that we experienced were so awesome. The food, what can I say, I haven't eaten that good since I left home! The white water rafting was just a GREAT experience! Thanks so much Adrienne for getting 6 rookie Texans down the river, you deserve some award for that feat. Another thanks to Bruce our gear guide, you were a lot of fun. You're a great company with some great whitewater guides, I will recommend you every time I get the chance!" - Cindy Hulme, Clifton, TX

"I just wanted to thank everyone at Los Rios for a great trip through the Taos Box on Memorial Day! All of our guides were friendly and funny but also clearly knowledgeable and professional when it comes to whitewater safety. The river was high, wild, and exciting and made for the best raft trip I've ever experienced! The scenery of the gorge was an awe-inspiring backdrop for a great adventure. The guides also made sure we were prepared to be active participants to result in a safe trip. In addition, a pleasant surprise was the great lunch that they prepared! I will definitely recommend Los Rios to anyone I know who travels to New Mexico." - Angela K.

"We would like to thank you for the best birthday experience I have had in my whole life. I celebrated my 52nd birthday on your PM Racecourse trip on 5/27/05. Thanks, Thanks, Thanks." - Jay Mayer

(Thank you, Cindy, Angela, and Jay, for your kind words, and for giving us permission to post them here.)
